Chris-Pascal Englund Braun
Chris-Pascal Englund Braun is a danish/german performer, choreographer and actor born in 1991. He graduated from Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in 2017 and has ever since been working freelance with the companies House of Pain, Sebastian Zuber and Nordic Beasts as well as been part of the ensembles of Johannes Wieland (‘20) and Punchdrunk (‘25).
Besides performing as a dancer, he has ventured into movement directing and acting in various theater productions throughout his career. In 2023 he portrayed the character of “Charlie” in Emma Evelein’s short film “Lucid Dreaming”, which won the Gouden Kalf at Nederlands Film Festival for best short film.
In 2024, Chris entered the choreography competition Hier=Jetzt in Munich with his newly founded “Stabil Dance Company” and won the audience prize for best choreography. The following year, the piece was developed to a full length piece, properly putting Chris and Stabil Dance Company on the radar.
In his own works, Chris balances on the line between contemporary dance and physical theater. The pieces are charged with intense physicality, amplified body language, spat and spoken work and a big passion for sound and music, aiming to dig deep into the realms of abstract storytelling, whilst remaining understood and felt.
