Maguelonne de Toldi
Maguelonne is a French dancer.
She trained for two years at the Regional Conservatory of Paris, where she immersed herself in the works of Olivier Dubois, (LA)Horde, Hofesh Shechter, and Ioanna Paraskevopoulou.
After her studies, she joined SKR Company for IDA and collaborated with Thaïs Company on the creation of Alors Vidons Nos Mains.
Improvisation is at the core of her practice. Maguelonne has created and performed pieces alongside DJ sets at festivals and in Parisian clubs. She has also had the opportunity to create a show with 100 primary school children and has choreographed and danced in several music videos.
Inspired by ballet, she loves to play with lines — balancing beauty and absurdity, elegance and intensity. The shared pulse of the group fascinates her. She seeks trance, reaction, novelty, sweat, and physicality.
Maguelonne aspires to create a world of dance that is open and accessible — to bring the joy of the dance floor into the theater, to spark emotions and debates.
She wants to dance to set the group ablaze and leave everything behind.
