Dance for me is directly connected to life itself, when I dance I live fully. This connection becomes more and more clear to me from the understanding and belief that we all have a real need for movement, and that it comes in forms that are not just dance as it is – healing, connection, pleasure, worship, daily actions, social and human relationships, in one way or another we all move. As a dancer, the knowledge that I strengthen this need every day, give it space to exist within me in the strongest possible way, continue to change within it and meet myself in so many variations, emotions and different physical sensations fills me very much. This very strong connection between life and this art, the privilege of being a conduit and experiencing together with myself, with an audience, with people in all kinds of forms every time anew this one-time experience of dance, makes me feel closer to myself.
